
Circle Meeting, Guest Speaker Guinevere Clark

Guinevere Clark is a poet originally from Grimsby, UK. She has a PhD in Creative Writing from Swansea University (2023), where she formed three poetry collections and an extensive analysis. Her thesis is The Egg in the Triangle: Poetics of Motherhood, Sexuality and Place.
She teaches creative writing at The Taliesin Arts Centre in Swansea and is studying Creative Producing and Arts Management at The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Her interests are in confessional styles, narrative poetry, survivor narratives and intersections on gender inequality, feminism, and deconstructed romance.
She has a full volume of poetry with Bluechrome Press (2006). Recent publications are with Minerva Rising, A3, Ambit, Magma, Poetry Wales, The Atlanta Review, Culture Matters and Black Bough. She’s been three times Pushcart Prize nominated and recently shortlisted in the 2022 Hammond House International Literary Prize, 2022 Wales Poetry Award and 2023 Poetry London Pamphlet Competition.

The meeting will take place at 7pm on Wednesday 7 February 2024. Everyone is welcome
The meeting venue is the Taliesin Arts Centre (downstairs from the main auditorium), Swansea University Singleton Campus, Swansea SA2 8QD. There will also be a zoom link for those who can’t attend in person.
