Circle Meeting, Guest Speaker Alana Davies

Our speaker in November is Circle member Alana Davies, who will talk about self publishing.
Alana has had a number of careers but started to write in earnest after she retired.
Although she had been writing short stories and poems since a teenager, it was a part-time course in Creative Writing with the Open University that convinced her this was something she could take seriously.
In the past few years, she has written and published collections of short stories and of poems, a number of children’s stories, and a novel, ‘The Making of Annie-May’. She has helped other aspiring authors by editing their work, and has self-published books on their behalf.
She is studying for an MA in creative writing at the University of Wales Trinity St Davids.

The meeting will take place at 7pm on Wednesday 1 November 2023. Everyone is welcome.
The meeting venue is the Taliesin Arts Centre (downstairs from the main auditorium), Swansea University Singleton Campus, Swansea SA2 8QD. There will also be a zoom link for those who can’t attend in person.
